Join us this Sunday (10/18) with the greater ROLCC body in Shekinah Glory for our annual Mission Sunday as we wrap up the Mission Conference. Also, the mission faith pledge collection will end this Sunday.

New Wave will not have the prayer room on October 21. Instead, we encourage everyone to attend the Mission Conference.
October 25 Guest Speaker
Our guest speaker for next Sunday’s (10/25) service is Jimmy Lin, MD, PhD, MHS. He is the Chief Scientific Officer at Freenome and previously served as CSO, Oncology at Natera, after cancer genomics roles at the NIH and Johns Hopkins. He is a Senior TED Fellow and Founder of the Rare Genomics Institute. He holds an MA in Religion from Reformed Theological Seminary, with a thesis on Bavinck's theological anthropology applied to AI, and has recently founded the Center for Ethical Intelligence (CEI), building open datasets, benchmarks, and infrastructure for values alignment in AI.
He will be speaking on “Scientific Doxology: Can a Christian Worship God as a Scientist?" In the spirit of Mission Month, we hope this topic will provide an opportunity to engage those exploring faith in meaningful conversations about faith and science and point them toward Jesus. RiverKids Festival
October 31, 5:30–8 PM
The Children’s Ministry will host its annual RiverKids Festival on October 31. There will be games & candies, face painting, food trucks, arts & crafts, and animal balloons for everyone. Please sign up if you want to volunteer. Feel free to use this flyer to invite your neighbors and friends!

Hi New Wave moms, join us on Saturday, November 7 for a morning of connection and fellowship around arts and crafts. Adults will be doing painting and kids will have arts and crafts as well, if you choose to bring them. Please register by Wednesday, November 4. We hope to see you there!

River of Life Foundation and New Wave will host the annual Thanks Giving Fair on November 14, 11 AM–3 PM at church. It’s a time to gather together to share God’s love with others.
We have an exciting day planned, featuring:

Fun activities for children

Seminar Title: Managing anxiety, depression and stress at home and work
When life feels overwhelming, it shows up in different ways: worry that won't quiet down, a heaviness that's hard to shake, or plain exhaustion from juggling work and home. This interactive seminar makes room to name what stress, anxiety, and depression can look like, share practical ways to care for yourself and others, and get grounded in how the Gospel strengthens and comforts us.
Our Seminar Speaker ministers as the Support Groups Coordinator at Saddleback Church founded by Pastor Rick Warren. He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. He’s also personally empowering churches for wellness by sharing his lived experiences and leading initiatives like Christian Asian Mental Health and the Erasing Shame podcast.
